UMUC Stateside Web Site and Other Online Services Will Be Unavailable December 26
UMUC will undergo a planned outage of all online stateside services on Monday, December 26, 2011, from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. eastern time (approximately 24 hours) to allow for important facilities upgrades to be completed within UMUC’s data center.
During this maintenance, all online services will be unavailable, including the following systems and services:
- Document Management
- E-mail/Calendaring, including from mobile devices
- Network and wireless Internet within the Inn and Conference Center
- All administrative or academic online services delivered from Adelphi, including those provided to the European and Asian divisions and regional locations
Although the outage is expected to last the entire 24-hour window, UMUC personnel will be working aggressively during the entire period to minimize the outage and restore services ahead of schedule, where possible. The most critical systems will be prioritized to be restored first, and it is anticipated that the following systems may be available as early as these times:
- E-mail/Calendaring: 6:30 p.m.
- Peoplesoft: 7:30 p.m.
- WebTycho: 8:30 p.m.
As the teams work to restore services as quickly as possible, please check back after these times for availability. All services are expected to be restored by 11:59 p.m. eastern time on December 26, 2011.
