Board of Visitors

The University of Maryland University College (UMUC) Board of Visitors is an advisory board to the UMUC president. The board of 20 to 40 members is composed of alumni and friends who take a special interest in UMUC and its progress. Members come from several industries and professions and are appointed to the board by the president, who takes recommendations from a membership committee. The Board of Visitors meets twice each year in the university's world headquarters building; ad hoc meetings may also take place. Committees of the board meet when necessary, as well. UMUC is grateful for the dedicated service of the members of its Board of Visitors.
