Nathan Greeno

Nathan Greeno Nathan Greeno serves as vice president for Strategic Initiatives. His core work involves leading the university in the expansion of current organizational relationships and development of new business enterprises. Through this business-to-business approach, partnerships are able to significantly impact the extension of the university’s mission and its global footprint.

Nationally recognized as a non-traditional educator, thought leader and business builder, Mr. Greeno served as a serial entrepreneur, founder, CEO and C-level strategist for several end-to-end learning service companies prior to his role at UMUC. He led clients—more than 100 higher education institutions—to integrate business acumen with their educational missions through the vehicle of adult education. During his 20-plus years as an external provider, he demonstrated his ability to capitalize on new markets, develop strategic relationships and create significant value through partnerships in adult education, military, government and corporate sectors.

Mr. Greeno is also an award-winning author, online faculty member and frequent speaker on the future of higher education. He holds an MA in higher education administration from Michigan State University and earned his BA in psychology from Roberts Wesleyan College.
