Information and Guidelines
UMUC’s Presidential Award recognizes members of the university’s staff or collegiate faculty who have demonstrated exemplary performance and distinctive contributions to UMUC throughout their career.
All full-time regular exempt and non-exempt employees, contigent II, overseas regular, overseas contingent III, and collegiate faculty (worldwide), with three or more years of continuous service with UMUC are eligible. Any faculty or staff member can nominate any other eligible staff or faculty member for this award.
Up to six $5,000 awards will be presented.
Each nominee’s accomplishments will be evaluated on how they exemplify and exceed in a minimum of five out of the seven core values of the university:

Nomination Review Process
Nominations are reviewed by a committee composed of staff and collegiate faculty representatives from each of UMUC's geographic divisions. The committee's recommendations are presented to the university president.
The 2012 awards will be presented at the annual Service and Achievement Awards Ceremony in December 2012.
