Sean Chung serves as the vice president for the Office of Enrollment Management at University of Maryland University College. He has been with the university since 2001.
Mr. Chung's primary objectives are the recruitment and retention of students. He is responsible for admissions, advising and the management of the university's main call centers. During his time in Enrollment Management, he has been instrumental in the growth of the university's student population. In addition, he has implemented a quality assurance program and overseen the development of a contact center employing the latest technologies in customer service.
Prior to joining UMUC, Mr. Chung served as assistant vice president for Contract Management for a large company specializing in all aspects of Commercial and Residential Construction in the northeast region.
Mr. Chung holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the university and has completed graduate-level coursework in information technology. In 2004. Mr. Chung was chosen as one of only 20 participants in UMUC's year-long Leadership and Management Development Program, a course created to inspire positive change in leadership methods. He has certifications in Call Center and Workforce Management. In 2009, Mr. Chung received the university's Presidential Award for exceptional service and dedication.
