When you solicit feedback, you have to evaluate it for its relevance to your assignment. Of course, you should pay attention to your instructor’s feedback, but not all feedback is relevant to your revision.
Checklist for Assessing Feedback
Did I evaluate the feedback carefully for its usefulness?
What rationale do I have for using the feedback in my revision?
What rationale do I have for rejecting the feedback as unhelpful?
Did I carefully incorporate my instructor’s feedback?
In the feedback stage, solicit outside perspectives on your research and drafts.
