ABOUT
The Fifth Annual July Writing Conference was held on July 25-26, 2008 at the UMUC Inn and Conference Center in Adelphi, Maryland. The conference called together UMUC faculty members from across disciplines to discuss the ways in which we use and respond to student writing in our courses.
The objective of the conference was to enhance writing pedagogy across the curriculum and across the disciplines at UMUC. During this two-day event, participants were able to:
- Network with other faculty members from various disciplines who seek to enhance the teaching of writing
- Learn new ways of integrating writing into your classes
- Enhance writing pedagogy across the curriculum and disciplines at UMUC
- Explore technological applications to the teaching of writing, in both online and on-site classrooms
