LEO: How Do I - Set Release Conditions for a Category or Item

Release conditions enable you to associate a category or item with other items in the Learning Environment. For example, you could require that users complete the last assignment in the category Unit 1, before the category Unit 2 appears in their grade book.

  1. From the Course Home page, click the My Tools drop down menu then select Grades.
  2. Under the Manage Grades tab, click the drop down arrow for the Grade Item you want to edit and click Edit Grade Item
  3. Click on the Restrictions tab. 
  4. In the Release Conditions section, click Attach Existing or Create and Attach
  5. Fill in all the applicable fields and click Attach or Create.
  6. Select one of the following under the drop down To access this item, users must satisfy:
    • All conditions must be met
    • Any condition must be met
  7. Click Save and Close, Save and New, or Save.
