Parchment: Issue - My transcript is blank

Official transcripts from University of Maryland University College are certified with a digital signature and other security features. In order to view the secured document, you must open the document using Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat. If you open your transcript using another PDF viewer (such as your computer's default PDF viewer), your transcript may appear blank. 

  • To view your official transcript PDF in your web browser, you must have the Adobe Acrobat Plugin installed. (Note: Make sure you are using a supported browser.)

  • To view your official transcript PDF on your computer, you must have Adobe Reader installed.

Instructions

  1. Verify that you have Adobe Reader or Acrobat installed on your computer. If you do not have Adobe Reader installed, you can download a free copy from the Adobe website:  http://get.adobe.com/reader

  2. Once you have confirmed Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat is installed, right-click with your mouse (Control-Click) on the downloaded transcript file.

  3. Select Open With

  4. Select Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat.

You will now be able to open and view your certified transcript.

Note: If you initially opened the downloaded transcript document before installing the Adobe Reader software, you may need to download a new copy of the transcript using the delivery e-mail provided by Parchment in order for it to open in Adobe Reader or Acrobat.
