WebText is a secure, online textbook service that makes ordering textbooks easy and convenient. With WebText, on-site assistance from your local field representative is available.
Important: Order books from the right campus
Textbooks for the same course may vary between campuses. So, if you enroll in courses offered by the UMUC Stateside (US) Division, Europe Division, or Asia Division, you must order textbooks directly from that campus, regardless of the campus you registered with.
For example, if you are in Ramstein, Germany, but enroll in a course offered by UMUC Asia, you will complete your registration through your MyUMUC student portal for the Ramstein Education Center, but you will order your textbook using WebText Asia.
Create Your WebText Account:
When you create an account, you will be prompted to enter your name, date-of-birth, last four of your SSN or National ID, and Student ID (Empl ID) exactly as it appears in your MyUMUC student portal. To verify this information, please log in to your MyUMUC student portal and navigate to Student Center > Demographic Data (in Personal Information).

If you do not yet have a valid Student ID, you can still establish a WebText account and order textbooks; however, you will need to update your account information once your Student ID becomes available.
Note: Many UMUC courses do not require you to purchase materials; therefore, you should check each class syllabus for the course material requirements before making a purchase.
