Email: When will I receive my student e-mail account?

Your University of Maryland University College student e-mail account will be created upon enrollment in your first class, according to the following schedule: 

  • Your email account will be available 24 hours after enrolling in class if your class begins in the current/next term.
  • Your email account will be available seven days before the class start date if your class begins in a future term.
Instructions for logging in and additional information about your email account will be sent to the e-mail address you used when enrolling in class. To log in, go to mail.umuc.edu and click Check my e-mail for your student account.

Your email address will be your username + @student.umuc.edu. For example, hsolo2@student.umuc.edu.

Your email account will remain active for two years after your last class enrollment. After two years, you will need to register for another class to reactivate your email account.
