Late Night Study Access Card Application
What is a Late Night Study Card?
Late Night Study cards can be used to enter McKeldin Library after 11:00 p.m. To use the card, insert it into the swipe mechanism at the entrance to McKeldin Library. You will also need a photo ID for identification purposes as well. (See Late Night Study in McKeldin Library for more information.)
- Who is eligible?
All currently enrolled UMUC students are eligible for this service.
- How do I get the card?
We will mail the card to you at the mailing address indicated in MyUMUC.
- How long does it take to get my card?
Please allow 2-4 business days for processing your application. We will contact you when your card has been shipped. The cards are issued on a first come first served basis.
- When is the card due back?
You must return this card at the end of the semester. Cards are due back not later than 5 days after the end of the semester.
- Where do I return the card?
You may mail your card to the UMUC Library or you can place it in the drop box at the UMUC office in McKeldin Library (Room 6259, 6th floor).
- Do I have to pay?
There is no cost to use this service. However, you will be fined $75 if the card is not returned by the deadline.
Need to use the public computers?
You will need to apply for a guest account to be able to use the public computers. Present a photo ID at one of the UMD Libraries circulation desks to register for an account with an expiration of 7 days.
Late Night Study Cards are not available during the summer.
