Language of Abstraction exhibition

The UMUC Arts Program invites you to explore the art of internationally known artists Ed Clark (New York, New York), Richard W. Franklin (Bowie, Maryland), and the late Kenneth Young (Washington, D.C.). The Language of Abstraction exhibition features works that are explosive in color and movement, with palettes that draw the viewer to the work. The juxtaposition of the paintings of these artists encourages conversations about three very different forms of abstract personal expression.

At the opening reception, Virginia Adams, PhD, will moderate a conversation with artist Richard W. Franklin and Melanca Clark and Leslie Young, daughters of artists Ed Clark and Kenneth Young. Light refreshments will be provided.
