The Waiting List
How to Get on a Waiting List
You can check on class availability online by visiting the MyUMUC. If a class is already full at the time of registration, you have the option of placing your name on a wait list for the class.
- If a space becomes available, the first student on the wait list will automatically be registered for it, and the charge will appear on the student's account. An e-mail notification of the enrollment from the wait list will be sent. If a space becomes available but the first student is ineligible to enroll in the class (for reasons such as the student has not met the prerequisites or is enrolled in a class that conflicts in time), the space will go to the next person on the wait list.
- If you no longer want a class you should remove your name from the wait list to prevent the possibility of an automatic enrollment.
- Faculty members and academic advisors are not authorized to add you to a full class.
How to Make the Waiting List Work for You
Class sections are added regularly, so access MyUMUC for the latest course offering information. UMUC reserves the right to reorder the waiting list for a given course, without notice, to correct inequities caused by system problems.
