UMUC Art Gallery Collections & Exhibitions

UMUC Art Gallery Welcome

University of Maryland University College (UMUC) has cultivated and grown two permanent art collections since 1978. The Maryland Artist Collection is one of the largest compilations of work by Maryland artists, while The Asian Collection comprises centuries of Asian art, including Chinese ceramics, traditional scrolls, and contemporary Japanese prints.

Where to View the Collections

You can view The Maryland Artist Collection and The Asian Collection in the UMUC Art Gallery at the UMUC Inn and Conference Center. Portions of the collections are also on display in the Administration Building and UMUC Academic Center at Largo.

Bus Trip

Love art? Sign up for a daylong art trip to three cities in Virginia: Richmond, Hampton, and Newport News. This Southern Odyssey tour is Saturday, June 6, 2015, 6:30 a.m.–9:30 p.m.

The cost, $125 per person, includes round-trip transportation, continental breakfast and lunch, a private tour of Hampton University Museum, plus studio visits in three cities: Richmond, Hampton, and Newport News.
