Help UMUC Select a New Learning Platform
Recently you received a message from Provost Gregory von Lehmen, PhD, about the university’s preparation for implementing a new learning management solution that will replace WebTycho.
An important part of this project is eliciting feedback from a broad cross-section of the university community, including faculty. If you would like to participate in the selection process by screening and testing potential new platforms, please complete the online volunteer registration form by Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at 5 p.m. eastern standard time.
Volunteer participants are expected to
- Complete a mandatory, online procurement orientation to learn more about the procurement process. You must complete the orientation by no later than Friday, June 15, 2012, eastern standard time, to participate in the testing process.
- Participate in all required vendor demonstrations scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, June 26 and 27, 2012. Demos will be streamed live and will be made available for later viewing.
- Use test scripts and sandbox simulations to assess the functionality and features of three vendor platforms between Thursday, June 28 and Friday, July 13, 2012. The anticipated time commitment to test each potential system is approximately one hour.
- Provide feedback on the experience by submitting an anonymous, online evaluation form.
